Description
This kit is used for the in vitro quantitative detection of neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL) content in human serum/plasma or whole blood samples.
NGAL is a type of trace protein expressed by neutrophils and certain epithelial cells such as renal tubules. In the case of ischemic or nephrotoxic kidney injury, NGAL is secreted by the kidney in high levels into the blood and urine within 2 hours of injury, so it can be used as an early and sensitive biomarker of kidney injury.
This product should be used together with the fluorescence lateral flow immunoassay analyzer produced by Prometheus Bio Inc. It can be used in medical and healthcare institutions.
